The Lost Art of Asking: Enhancing the Therapist Toolkit with Questions!

Charlottetown, October 20, 2025 from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm Asking good questions is a vital skill in a therapist’s toolbox. We ask questions to facilitate dialogue, learn about our clients and help our clients learn. We intend to be helpful and supportive, so when we get a defensive reaction, we wonder, What the heck? And for those working with couples, you know how a perfectly reasonable question can suddenly lead to an argument about what happened - which is a great lead-in to the Blame Game. In this workshop, we will learn how can we use questions to work with resistance, open up learning, engage more productively with our clients and enhance our effectiveness when working on teams.
