Making Room for Transformative Learning
Commitment to Yourself
To start, we want you to make a commitment to YOU:
- that you will give yourself a break when you need it!
- that you will ask for help if motivation is waning
- that you will not be so hard on yourself!
- that you will take pride in the decision to
make work work for you!
In your Launch Manual, we ask you to reflect on these questions:
- Who are the people you can rely on to support you?
- Can you ask them to help you be accountable to your goals?
- Hell yeah! | Not sure | No
- If you’re not sure, what are you worried will happen if you ask for help?
- What needs to change now? So you have time and head space to
shift your practice. (i.e. making time in your schedule, support from staff, childcare, family commitments. Ask for the help you need to be accountable to yourself. Be specific and write it down in your Launch Manual.
Jot down your commitment to yourself
For example:
I am committing to transforming my work life, which will require a lot of ME.
Therefore I will let go of the following things that will take time and energy away from my focus.
Use these prompts to guide you:
- What do you need to let go of in order to focus?
- Change needed: ________________________
- Tasks I will do: __________________________
- Tasks someone else will do (who?): ________
👀 Now look at the list again 👀
Are there things that you could move from your “Tasks I will do” column to the "...someone else will do” column?
🖊️ If so, make the shift now and record your progress in your Launch Manual:
- Done and delegated.
- Can’t delegate. It’s gotta be me!
- I need more time to think about this!
